St. Catharines

Welcome to...

St. Catharines

My hometown! St. Catharines is known as the Garden City. The largest city in Canada’s Niagara Region and the sixth largest urban area in the province of Ontario. With so much to offer you can enjoy so many aspects of living, working and raising a family here in this beautiful city. I was born and raised in this city and I know how great it is to live here. So you can take my word for it.

the details...

Location of St. Catharines

Located in the heart of the Niagara Region, St. Catharines is a stand alone city where you have everything you need and more, however, with the added bonus of accessibility. Nieghbouring beautiful Niagara on the Lake, Niagara Falls, Lincoln, and Beamsville. Just a short drive to Grimsby, Hamilton, Burlington and onyl 45 minutes to the GTA this city offers more than you need and all you can enjoy!

Why You'll LOVE it:

Why You'll HATE it:

Reason 1

Located in the heart of Niagara! So you can enjoy everything Niagara has to offer!

Reason 1

It’s a big city with a population of over 420,000 people, so it can be busy in some of the core areas.

Reason 2

Great spots to find good food and small boutiques, Port Delhousie is a great start! We have nice, spacious and clean beaches.

Reason 2

The Brock University area is also busy, so if you are looking for quiet living avoid any areas that surround the school as most of those homes are student rentals.

Reason 3

Close to many schools, a college and a university.

Reason 3

Not many beaches but the beaches we have are nice and clean.

Reason 4

Many housing options, there are many areas that are still very affordable.

Reason 4

However, real estate moves much quicker here than in the rest of the Niagara area and prices can tend to reach higher levels in some more desirable areas, including rent rates, which have also increased.

Reason 5

Great shopping! The main mall is the Pen Centre, but there are many great plazas and small shops to provide you some retail therapy.

Reason 5

This is a Pro & a Con, there is lots of new development! So you can purchase a new build, but you will be living in construction while the development is being built.

Home Styles In St. Catharines

A great place to grow up! I know this because I grew up here and still consider it home.

Like any big city there are many eras of homes in this town from small little war time homes, to large luxury mansions and everything in between including lake front properties.

Waterfront Properties

Yes, we are still on the lake and we have some really stunning waterfront homes. However, these are in high demand and expensive typically.

New Builds

There are many new subdivisions being built in and around this area, which more  single family detached and townhomes. Custom New Builds are a great way to create the home of your dreams. Our Company Parkside Custom Homes can help you build this dream.

Like I said this is a big city and there are waaayyy to many schools to list here. So here are links to the different school boards and educational bodies you may be interested in. Each site will list the schools catchment so you have an idea of area as well!
